Roxanne is currently studying Chemistry at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She believes that chemistry offers insights into environmental problems. Through different ways such as optimising current technologies and devising new chemical reactions and products, chemistry could help meet sustainability goals.

There is a saying, “he that travels far knows much”. Keen to know more, Roxanne is a peer mentor to the freshmen in her School and she also joined numerous voluntary services including Community Angels. Community Angels is a program which provides support to children of parents with disabilities. Meeting with the child every week allows her to interact with the parents and thus see their pain. This experience inspires her to create an inclusive society in which everyone is genuinely accepted and respected.
