Henry holds a firm conviction that mastering the English language will help him comprehend current international affairs holistically and convert him into a more competitive person in the future. With his deep affection for the language, he has actively participated in various English-related competitions, such as the 68th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival in 2016 and the Inter-Government Secondary Schools English Debating Competition in 2018.
He also demonstrated his leadership abilities by serving as the president of his alma mater’s Interact Club (2017-2020) to organize various philanthropic programs with the support of Rotary Club Wan Chai.
Born in a materialistically abundant era, Henry realizes that teenagers in Hong Kong quite often neglect the significance of pursuing spiritual well-being to establish their faith to be resilient in a world full of uncertainties and turmoil. Thus, he has a strong desire to fill the voids of the current promotion of spirituality in the local education system.
Henry is dedicated to honing teenagers’ spirituality by using his knowledge and enormous support from The D. H. Chen Foundation to organize additional programs. He also aspires that the Scholarship Program can make him become a better self to serve the community and enrich his life experiences.
