David is currently reading Law at The University of Hong Kong. He actively participates in community service, including his initiation of the UNESCO E-Learning Summer Course. Being inspired by reading Dickens’ novels on legal inequality, he hopes that by highlighting the novels’ social issues and the beauty of English language to the underprivileged children, they will also be inspired to embark on their meaningful careers.
Moreover, David was part of a service group that has built a sanitation system for children in Chiang Rai, Thailand. He was also the editor of the International Baccalaureate publication, and organized Inter-School Model United Nations Hong Kong to raise awareness amongst local students on global issues when he was a secondary school student.
In his spare time, David plays football, as well as participates in debating and mooting. In the coming school year, he plans to participate in the Observer Programme to utilise his legal knowledge to provide free legal advice to the disenfranchised.
David is looking forward to meeting fellow Scholars and mentors from different backgrounds and disciplines. He believes that the experience from the Scholarship Program will build a strong foundation for his future endeavors to serve the community.
