Inspired by a life-changing teacher of hers, Asley never undervalues the power of empathy when it comes to impacting lives. While having compassion is the first step in noticing the needs of others, studying psychology has provided her with various opportunities to put what she has learnt into practice. 

Being the president of the Psychology Society and treasurer of the S. H. Ho College Music Society, Asley spares no effort in serving her fellows and the community. To inspire as she has been inspired, she also serves as a teaching assistant of the College General Education Course as well as a tutor of her high school’s Summer Bridging Course. Moreover, she is currently involved in a local start-up business which offers consulting services and virtual learning experiences to secondary school students in Hong Kong. 

Asley vows to devote herself to mental wellness promotion. She believes that it is never enough to merely have sympathy for others. Treating ourselves with the same compassion we would expect from others is equally vital for building one’s emotional resilience and well-being.  

In the future, she envisions to embark on a life-long journey to brighten the experience of others and actualise her contributions to society.
