Kevin is an aspiring engineer studying Data Science and Technology, with two additional majors of Computer Science and Mathematics at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Since his cousin sister was suffered from autism and lost her language ability, he would like to help her to express her emotions with the help of artificial intelligence. Committed to his aspiration, he joined an open-source project called Yuudee, which help autistic children to construct complex sentences using a variety of animations. An enthusiastic engineer, Kevin is eager to invent a smart speaker for the language disabled. He would like to achieve the equality of all through technology advancement. He strives for his best in academics to realize this dream.
His diverse interest is not limited to academics. As the Captain of the Cantonese Debating Team at HKUST, he has led and trained the team to win debating competitions for the school. He also organized various joint-universities debating competitions and promoted debate on campus.
His strong sense of belonging to the community and enthusiasm in voluntary services brought him the Community Heroes Award given by Social Career. As a leading coding instructor at the Kwun Tong Government Primary School under the project of Code and Create, he taught children programming languages and cultivated their problem-solving skills. He was also member of the organizing committee of Sham Shui Po Assistance Program, in which he cooperated with students from other universities to offer free furniture delivery services to local residents. Equipped with leadership qualities, Kevin aspires to become the future leader in Hong Kong, and is eager to bring impact to society.
